so ,

$\frac{bd}{da} = \frac{bc}{cp}$

(by basic proportionality therom )

In triangle ABC,

DE || AC

So using basic proportionality therom we have ,

$\frac{bd}{da} = \frac{bf}{fc}$

so front the above 2 results

$\frac{bf}{fc} = \frac{bd}{da} = \frac{bc}{cp}$

therefore ,

$\frac{be}{ec} = \frac{bc}{cp}$
