To find:

Sequence on the anticodon, when the corresponding codon sequence on the mRNA is GAU ?

Solution:

Codon is the group of three nitrogenous base which is present on the mRNA, which in turn is complimentary to the nitrogenous bases present on the amino-acyl tRNA.

In RNA, the complimentary bases are:

  • Adenine (A) <=> Uracil (U)

  • Cytosine (C) <=> Guanine (G)

\large{\: G \:  \: A \:  \:  U}\\  \: \: \downarrow  \:  \:  \:  \downarrow \: \:  \:  \:   \downarrow \\\large{  C \:  \:  U \:  \: A}

So, the complimentary anti-codon in amino-acyl tRNA will be CUA.
