Haemoglobin is a respiratory pigment that transport oxygen to the body cells for cellular respiration. Therefore deficiency of hemoglobin in blood can affect the oxygen supplying capacity of blood which leads to deficiency of oxygenin the blood cells. It is also called anaemia.

Due to the deficiency of haemoglobin in blood, its oxygen carrying capacity decreases . As a result the production of energy by oxidation will become slower . One would fall sick and would feel fatigue most of the time .
