What would be the combinations of four resistors of 2 ohm, 4 ohm, 6 ohm and 12 ohm to get equivalent resistance of 5.3 ohms and also of 4.5 ohms.

Given :   R1=2Ω     R2=4Ω      R3=6Ω

Parallel combination : 

Equivalent resistance   Rp1=R11+R21+R31

Rp1=21+41+61

⟹ Rp=1112Ω

Series Combination :

Equivalent resistance   Rs=R1+R2+R3=2+4+6=12Ω
