Saliva plays very important role in our body, saliva helps in mastication lack of saliva will affect the mastication.

Digestion starts in mouth because saliva also contains an enzyme called salivary amylase, the digestion of starch and sugars will not occur properly in mouth due to lack of it.

Some other problems like tooth decay and other infections can also occur if there is a lack of saliva in mouth.
