Since it is given that 50 gms water at 20 ⁰ C and 50 gms of water at 40⁰ C are mixed. Hence, the masses of the liquid at different temperatures are same, the answer is very easy and simple :

average of 20⁰C and 40⁰C. that is- 30⁰C....

GiveN :-

  • If 50g of water at 20°C temperature and 50g of water at 40C temperature are mixed.

To FinD :-

  • The final temperature of the mixture.

SolutioN :-

Here , 50g of water at 20°C temperature and 50g of water at 40°C temperature are mixed and we need to find the final temperature of the mixture. Let us denote ,

\qquad\red{\frak{ Let }}\begin{cases}\sf Mass _1 = 50 g \\\sf Mass_2 = 50g \\\sf Temperature_1 = 20^oC \\\sf Temperature_2 = 40^o C \end{cases}

\red{\bigstar}\underline{\textsf{Now here we can find the final temperature as ,}}

\sf:\implies \pink{ Temperature_{(Final)}=\dfrac{(m_1)(t_1)+(m_2)(t_2)}{m_1+m_2}}\\\\\sf:\implies T_{(final)}= \dfrac{(50g)(20^oC)+(50g)(40^oC)}{50g+50g} \\\\\sf:\implies T_{(final)}=\dfrac{1000 + 2000}{100} ^oC \\\\\sf:\implies T_{(final)}=\dfrac{3000 ^o C }{100}\\\\\sf:\implies\underset{\blue{\sf Required\ Temperature}}{\underbrace{\boxed{\pink{\frak{ Temperature_{(final)}= 30^{\circ} C }}}}}
