There is no such thing with asteroids or any other thing with what you can destroy mars but;
With back to science-
There are only some advantages with mars,
> Mars supports the gravitation force of the natural satellites surrounding it. So the satellites will get attracted to the earth itself.
> Mars can be the next earth because of the composition of oxidised soil and can save humanity...
But there can be only one advantage, ie you can observe the universe well as there will be no obstruction of the light from other celestial bodies....
