There are some animals who are great consumers of grass and they are called herbivores. Therefore, if the green cover gets lost, then these animals would starve.

The animals who kill and eat these animals, called carnivores, get their nutrition from the plants the herbivores already got from the plants. Therefore these animals would alse not survive.

The incessant cutting of trees for agriculture and other purposes is reducing the space for the wild animals living in these forests.

Mankind depends on both plant life and animal life for food and other uses.

Oxygen, that is given out from green plants and trees, is needed for the survival of both man and animals. Therefore, due to the scarcity of plants, both man species and animal species would die out.
