The ratio of chromosome number between an egg and zygote is 1:2. Sperm contains the genetic material from the father while egg contains the genetic material from the mother. Sperm can either have X chromosome or Y chromosome but egg would always have an X chromosome.

(1) The egg contains 22 autosomes + X Chromosome.
(2) Zygote is formed by union of egg and sperm.
(3) The Sperm contains 22 autosomes + X or Y chromosome.
(4) So the zygote formed after fertilization contain 44 autosomes + XX or XY Chromosomes.
* The Ratio of chromosomes between an egg and it's zygote would be 23:46 or 1:2.Hope it helps.
