Chromosomes in egg =  x

chromosomes is zygote = 2x

Ratio = x / 2x = 1/2

sperm are different from egg because sperm is motile while egg is at rest sperm is the smallest cell while zygote is largest cell in human body. sperm have XY chromosomes while egg have XX only
