The egg or oosphere is the female gamete with a haploid set of chromosomes (n) while the zygote is the cell produced after fusion of male and female gametes so it has diploid set of chromosomes (2n) so the ratio of number of chromosomes of an egg to zygote will be n/2n or 1/2.
The sperm is the male gamete which carries the genes from the male parent while the egg carries genes from the female parent so only the number of chromosomes in both is same since both are haploid gametes but the genetic information they carry is completely different.
