The ammeter reading will be 0.24 amperes and thevoltmeter reading will be 2.88 volts.

since ammeter has practically zero resistance and a voltmeter has practically infinite resistance , hence voltage drop across both of them is zero.

Now the remaining circuit  is a series circuit, hence net resistance,

R = 5 + 8 + 12 = 25 Ω

input voltage , V = 6 volts

hence current in the series circuit,

I = V/R

= 6/25

= 0.24 ampere

Since the ammeter is connected in series hence the ammeter reading is 0.24 amperes.

Now, the voltmeter is connected across the 12Ω resistance. Hence voltage across the 12Ω resistance will be,

v= Ir

= 0.24 x 12

=2.88 volts.

hence voltmeter reading will be 2.88 volts
