Microorganisms are decomposers of dead and decaying parts of plants and animals.
Decomposers return the nutrient to soil, air and water by decomposing.Plants and animals need nutrients and oxgen for their survival when they die the nutrient in their bodies are decomposed by them by which soil becomes fertile and it also acts as a cleansing agent in environment .
These all advantages will not be gained if they will be killed.
I hope it will help u

Micro organisms play a very important role in the ecosystem just as any other organism
If all the all micro organisms such as bacteria are killed or removed from the forest then ddead bodies of organisms will be everywhere
Micro organisms are responsible for decomposition such that when other organisms die ,they decompose
So imagine without them we could have dead bodies everywhere
