Answer:- The solubility of AgCl in 0.1 M NaCl is M.

Solution:-

If the solubility of AgCl is s then the solubility of the each ion will also be s.

NaCl also dissociates to give sodium ion and chloride ion. The chloride ion is common and the solubility of AgCl decreases in the presence of common ion.

Molarity of NaCl is 0.1 M so the concentration of chloride ion from NaCl will also be 0.1 M. Since the chloride ion from AgCl is s, the total solubility of chloride ion will be (0.1+s).

Let's plug in the values in it:

Ksp value is very low, s will almost be negligible as compared to 0.1 and so (0.1+s) could be taken as 0.1.

Hence,

So, the solubility of AgCl in 0.1 M NaCl is M.

Hope this helps you ☺️☺️
