Answer:

given that - R1 = 2 ohm

R2 = 4 ohm

R3 = 4 ohm

R4 = 6 ohm

V = 12 volt..

from above fig we came to knew that R2 and R3 are in parallel so by parallel combination...

1 / Req* = 1 / R2 + 1 / R3

1 / Req* = 1 / 4 + 1 / 4 = 2 / 4 = 1 / 2

Req* = 2 ohm

then ...R1 and Req* and R4 are in series so by series combination....

Rnet = R1 + Req* + R4 = 2 + 2 + 6 = 10 ohm..

by ohms law we came to knew that ,

V = I X R

Inet = V / R = 12 / 10 = 1.2 A

Total current flowing in the circuit is 1.2 A
