the direction of the field lines inside the bar magnet is from the South pole (S) towards the North pole (N) of the bar magnet. The field lines are almost parallel to each other, as the bar magnet is made up of a uniform ferromagnetic material with constant permeability throughout it's length & buldge out as the lines move out of the poles & pass through air.
