Answer

According to Newton's first law of motion,

an object continues to be in the state of rest or uniform motion unless it is compelled by an external forces.

So here if a moving object is compelled by external forces which makes it balance then the body will change direction

A force applied at an angle to the direction of motion of an object can cause it to change direction. A side wind will cause an airplane to change its direction. It is possible that the object keeps going at the same speed, if the force is applied perpendicular to the direction of motion.
