See first of all you should be clear what does the mirror image means.

A mirror image is as much distance behind the mirror as the object is in front of it.

Using above property and considering x axis as mirror.

Point A ( 4, – 1 ) lies in 4th quadrant. Hence its image will lie in 1st quadrant

Distance of point A from the the x axis 1 unit

Hence image will be 1 unit above the x axis

Since image formed would be in straight line hence its x coordinate will remain same

So mirror image : B ( 4 , 1 )
