Plant cells always have a strong cell wall surrounding them. When the take up water by osmosis they start to swell, but the cell wall prevents them from bursting. ... When plant cells are placed in dilute sugar solutions they lose water by osmosis and they become “turgid”; this is the exact opposite of “flaccid”.

Heya.. Dost.. ❤
They will Become Turgid.. .
----> they start to swell, but the cell wall prevents them from bursting. ..
Because..
Osmosis draws water out of the solution and into the cells. As a result, plant and animal cells both appear more plump when placed in a hypotonic solution.
