What would happen if acid is diluted. acc. to reaction:
HCl = H+ + Cl- and H2O = H+ + OH- ions..
In this way H+ ions will.. Increase. Hence the pH value will decrease...? Or not

pH value will decrease bcoz there is increase in H+ ions

rohanverma2707: but if u check on the internet... it shows.. pH value Increases..
Aditya2110: no bcoz increase in H+ ions means an acid an acids ha e low pH value
rohanverma2707: how much change can be there... in pH...? on average..
Aditya2110: it depends on how much H+ ions are added
rohanverma2707: so... if in a swimming pool.. so much H+ ions..... a single drop.. of acid is put in it.. then it will become very strong... acid... and could be corrosive?
