If specific heat gets equal for all the substances then all substances will absorb and radiate heat with equal efficiency. In that situation temperature will get constant all over the world.You won't find relief under a tree in summer,your swimming pool's water will be as hot as concrete road.Similarly, in winter, woolen cloths will fail to protect you from cold,if temperature drops beyond freezing point, everything will freeze.
