When an animal cell is kept in distilled

water, the solute concentration inside the cell is more than outside. Water will enter inside the cell due to osmosis. As a result the cell will swollen up and becomes turgid. If the cell is placed inside water for longer period the cell may burst due to excess water pressure.

HOPE IT'S HELPFUL MARK AS BRAINLIST IF
