If a chemical equation is not balanced it implies that either mass has been created or destroyed which is a contradiction to law of conversation of mass which states that matter can niether be created nor destroyed

Answer:
There'll be no issue in the actual reaction since it will be balanced as we can't modify anything in it. But when we write the equation should be balanced in order to follow or obey the law of definite proportions or law of conservation of masses.
If not the written equation becomes a skeletal equation.
