What would happen if HCl were not secreted in the stomach?

The following functions will not take place :-

→Bacterias present in bolus will not be killed.

→There will be no acidic medium in the stomach.

→Softening of food particles will not take place.

→Pepsinogen will not be converted into pepsin.

→Ptyline will remain activated.
