what would happen if poultry birds are larger in size and have no summer adaptation capacity? in order to get small sized poultry birds,having summer adaptability,what method will be employed

if they were larger in size and had no summer adaptation then there would be no meat for human consumption during summer or we may have to export them from other cold places.
hybridization or cross breeding the varieties with the desired characteristics would get the birds with small size and summer adaptability feature.
