The Himalayas influence the total climate of the subcontinent of India on a huge level.

It is used to block out the icy winds that came from Tibet and Central Asia.

Also, it is used to prevent super cold climate and snowfall in Southern India and Central India.

Other than this, there are many rivers that flow from the Himalayas such as Yamuna and Ganga.

Hence, the boundary is essential.
