there would be no tides. the moons gravity causes the tidal waves on Earth.

not darkness because moon doesn't even have it's own light.....it reflects that of the sun

If we destroy the moon then it's pieces will form rings around the earth like that of Saturn and our planet would receive a constant bombarding.
