If the tip of the stem is cut off, The auxin hormone present at the tip of the bud will be distributed to the axillary buds leading to the growth of leaves and branches.

It is done more often to crush the apical dominance.

Hey friends!!

-------------------------------------------------------

Here is your answer↓

-------------------------------------------------------

=> Tip of stem secretes auxin hormone.

→ If the tip of growing stem is cut off, then the auxin hormone is secreted and distribute in axillary buds , which help in growth of branches and leaf.

→ And ,if you cut tip , then it break the apical dominance.

[ => Apical dominance:- The tendancy of auxin to remain at growing tip in presence of apical bud is called apical dominance.]

☺☺☺ hope it is helpful for you ✌✌✌.
