we will not able to do many things which are very important ,like..writing,walking,standing..many other activities of our daily use ,fractional force is very important in many ways it has many disadvantage like it reduces machine life,due to friction our shoes and slippers also wear away,frictional force however very important as it makes us able to write otherwise we would not have written so many books.

On a frictionless floor, if a body is moving it will keep on moving even when we do not provide any external force.Eg. a cycle keeps on moving for a short while even when we stop pedalling but it stops after few minutes as there is friction betwoon the tyres and ground .had the floor be polished and frictionless the cycle would continue to move after we stop to pedal.
