Life on earth would be a complete disaster if there is no rain. Earth would no longer be called the 'blue planet'. We all are aware of the fact that water is the most important element for the survival of life. Rain is a source of water that balances the atmosphere.
If there is no rain, water scarcity is the first outcome of the same. The ecosystem will be disturbed as rivers will dry up, forests will be destroyed as trees and plants will die due to lack of water. Shortage of plants will affect the herbivores and gradually the omnivores too. The aquatic life will get extinct as the water bodies dry up. No rain is ultimately the end of life, every being will face food shortage.
prabuddh:
If it suddenly happens to come that it stops raining, there would be ominous casualties. Many water bodies would dry up, land would wither, and most importantly there will be no life left on earth. Plants and animals would all die. ... Lack of rain will result in the pools running dry.
