Answer:

Everyone Dies™! Definitely!

But first lets understand your question, it says “ceased to exist”, which would mean that it was existent before but just happened to be totally gone. You did not say “did not exist”, that would create a different implication, for one, life would not have existed since hydrogen is needed to form water, and water is a necessity for life to form. And the Big Bang would not have happened.

But “ceased to exist”. So just one day all hydrogen in this universe got tired of everything else and decided to boycott the entire universe. Hey lets all be gone from here, they’re taking us for granted.

The universe: But.. But.. that’s against the first law of thermodynamics.

Hydrogen Union: Who cares about man-assumed laws of nature?

Let’s start with your body is made up of about 60% water and guess what? water is Dihydrogen oxide (H2O), and Hydrogen just went out of the blue peacefully, or maybe not. You see, when you remove an atom in a bond, it will create heat, which is just great since Oxygen atoms will be left alone and very angry.

Oxygen atoms (just O) is a highly reactive nonmetal an is an oxidizing agent. The break-up of H2O love team will be explosive! As oxygen atoms will try to stick on any other atoms it come across. And since your body is about 18% Carbon, that makes are very good fuel for oxygen to start burning things.

Yeah, you will be a superhero for a while, but you wouldn’t know it, because you won’t live to know it. Just as when all hydrogen is gone, Everyone will Die.

And another thing, Bye Bye Mr. Sun.

As you already know it, the Sun is composed of Hydrogen and Helium, well not only the Sun, but the entire universe as the universe is composed of about 75% hydrogen and about 24% Helium.

Well I can’t seem to fathom what will happen to the universe once all of the hydrogen atoms are gone, it could be that Helium atoms will constitute a nuclear fission to make hydrogen, or everything will just fall, like the end of the Universe.
