once a representive is elected, he/she gets huge responsibilities qlong with enormous powers
if a representative will get such powers with no restrictions. he/she can miss use it upto a huge extent. he/she can knock out all his competition using his powers with illegal methods. Therefore there is a thing known as opposition which looks after the working of a representative and if it feels that the representative has done something wrong. it can move the complaint to either house of the parliament which can enquire the issue and go for a reflex action if the complaint mase was true. the opposition is actually the group of tge members of the opposing party

Answer:

In democracy people choose their leaders so that they can exercise power responsibly on their behalf. But there is always the possibility that these leaders might misuse their authority as per their wish which cannot be allowed in democracy. This misuse of authority can result in gross injustice and breakdown of democratic system.

Hence as a safeguard against the misuse of power by our political leaders it is necessary to have restriction on their power.
