Zn + CuSO4 ------ ZnSo4 + Cu

It means that when zinc metal react with copper sulphate it will displace copper from the solution and will form zinc sulphate.
Zinc is more reactive than copper so it will displace copper from the solution.

Hi. Reactivity series of metals is where metals are arranged in their order of reactivity from most reactive at the top to least reactive at the bottom.

Since, zinc is higher in the reactivity series than copper, it will replace copper from copper sulphate solution to form zinc sulphate solution and, copper will accumulate at the bottom of the the test tube.

The reaction that will take place in the displace reaction is as follows:

Zn + CuSO₄ → ZnSO₄ + Cu
