if we think that SER (smooth endoplasmic reticulum) is absent on animal cell there will be the production of the protein stopped and cell organelles do not produce in the cell because production of the cell organelles required protein and the cell do not produce new cell organelles and replacement of the old cell organelles do not occur due to the lack of protein and thus cell will decompose slowly

Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum is mainly responsible for making cellular products such as hormones and lipids.
Explanation:
In the absence of SER:
- Lipids such as cholesterol and phospholipids synthesis and storage will not happen.
- Production of important hormones like steroid hormones will not get secreted with out the help of cholesterol.
- The conversion of glycogen to glucose will also get affected.
- As all these functions are essential to live, absence of SER will end up in collapse of system and lead to death.
