What would happen to a 10 kg block of ice if you slowly increased the kinetic energy of the molecules within the ice?

would then warm up until eventually it would reach the freezing/melting point (same thing). At that point, as you add more heat, the energy would go into breaking the hydrogen bonds holding the solid structure together instead of raising the temperature (kinetic energy). It would melt. Once it's completely melted it would then start warming up again.
