Plants would not also not survive without animals because they will not get carbon dioxide for the process of photosynthesis.
Explanation:
The plant cannot survive alone in the environment because the plants get carbon dioxide from the environment for the process of photosynthesis.
The animals get energy and oxygen from the plants and if the animals will not eat the plants then they will die and would not be able to survive.
In turn the plants will also die after sometime because they would not any carbon dioxide from the animals.
The microbes are not enough to provide carbon dioxide and consume oxygen so plants and animals both are required to compensate the level of carbon dioxide, oxygen and energy.
