What would happen to the life of the cell if there is no golgi apparatus?
Answers
Answer:
Explanation:
If there were no Golgi appartus, the proteins in cells would float around without direction. Other cells and organs in the body would not function properly without the products that the Golgi body normally sends. For example, a specific type of liver cell called a hepatocyte produces a protein in blood plasma called albumin. The albumin is made almost exclusively within the liver. The Golgi bodies in hepatocytes transport the albumin out of the liver to become part of the plasma portion of blood.

Answer:
The functions of golgi apparatus are :
1) Secretion : It secetes the lipids and glycogen in the cell
Thus its function is lipid and glycogen synthesis.
2) Packaging : The proteins synthesized in the endoplasmic reticulum in the form of vesicles are received by golgi apparatus from its cis face and packed inside a small vesicle called lysosome and finally this lysosome is released in the cell.
This lysosome has many functions like emptieng the wastes outside the cell and transportation of useful materials inside the cell.
Golgi apparatus is also a part of the endomembrane system so if it will not ve present then all the other cell organelles will be affected due to it.
The metabolism will be badly affected leading to the death of cell.
