Star fishes know as sea stars are invertebrate carnivorous aquatic animals live in salt water.
Sear star or star fish mostly depends on the shell fish for the food. If the shell fish dies, the populations of star fish would decrease dramatically. Although, starfish is a slow moving animal, so it can attack on those animals which are faster that it. Moreover, shell fishes are also slow mover, and usually they can be found to attached to the rocks and corals.
So, if there is no shell fish means no star fish.
