The Golgi body, also called the Golgi apparatus or Golgi complex, can be found in most cells and looks like a stack of pancakes. The Golgi apparatus is considered to be the distribution and shipping center for the cell’s chemical products. It alters proteins and lipids and gets them ready to be transported to other locations within the cell or to be sent out of the cell.
If there was no Golgi apparatus, the proteins would float around not knowing where to go. Other cells and organs in the body wouldn’t function properly because they didn’t receive the products from the Golgi.

The golgi apparatus contains multiple vesicles and folded membranes.

Explanation:

  • It is also involved in cellular transport. It is a packaging organelle. The golgi apparatus creates proteins for secretions that contain enzymes that combine sugar monomers to proteins.
  • Also, If the golgi apparatus is not present in the packaging and transport of materials that would cease to happen.
  • Hence, different substances such as sugar monomers would not be able to transform into proper forms for further use. The activities of the cell would also cease to occur.
