After the land ceiling acts were implemented in 1970 see the changes that took place. The number of small farmers where 83 percent increased and decreased 16 percent medium farmers now were less in number and controlled 46 percent more or less than before large land owners declined in less than 1 percent but still owners about 6 percent land.
