What would have happened if there had no difference between mitochondria and plastids

Mitochondria is a cell organell which is used as the energy bag of cell, it provides energy to the cell.

Whereas plastids are divided into 3 :          

  • CHOLOROPLASTS :- Produces chlorophyll pigments.
  • CHROMOPLASTS   :- Produces coloured pigments for flowers and   fruits.  
  • LEUCOPLASTS       :- Stores food and glucose      

Answer:        

If there would have been no difference between Plastids and Mitochondria therewould have been no cell organell that could produce either of energy or pigments for plants which are most important for the plants for photosynthesis.
