If the blacks would have avenged the whites for all their repression, atrocities, and exploitation, once again a govt./state based on racial discrimination would have been setup and the citizens would have never experienced a peaceful nation. Furthermore, there would have been a series of violent rallies and protests and discontentment among someone or the other within the nation.

EXPLANATION:

     If the blacks had not pardoned the whites for all their exploitation and oppression and decided to avenge them, there would have been violence and bloodshed everywhere.

     There would have been war and chaos along with a great loss of property and life. This would have led to the division of the nation, and perhaps South Africa would have lost her freedom and independence, and the citizens would not have witnessed a peaceful and united South Africa which exists presently.

     Fortuitously, the black people adopted the policy of non-violence in their freedom struggle.
