The cost to carpet the room of given measures will be Rupees 3000

Given that,

Length of the room is = 5 metres

Width of the room is = 4.8 metres

Width of the carpet is = 1.2 metres

Cost of carpet per metre is = Rupees 150

To find : The cost to carpet the room.

First, we have to find out the area of the room. The formula to find area is -

Area = Length x Breadth

A = 5 x 4.8

A = 24 metres per square

Carpet needed = 24 / 1.2

 =  \frac{24}{1.2}

 =  \frac{240}{12}

 = 20 \: metres

Cost of carpeting 1 metre is = Rupees 150

Therefore,

Cost of carpeting 20 metres is = Rupees (150 x 20)

= Rupees 3000
