what would the world be like without element?

Well, first off, let’s define what an element is. An element is defined as any substance that cannot be broken down to any other substance by chemical reactions (note this means non-nuclear chemical reactions). Sounds simple enough, right? If elements are things that can’t be broken down any further by chemical reactions then a world without elements means a world without a single simplest substance. Imagine building a lego set without legos. Or, imagine building a lego set with legos that are made out of infinitely smaller legos: legos so small, that they become nothing. With this definition of an element, a world without elements is nothing. Everything would be too unstable to exist. But wait, I’m not done yet. Maybe you insist that the elements as a whole don’t exist, as in, every neutral atom is the exact same. In this scenario, life wouldn’t exist. In fact, very little would exist. There simply aren’t enough possible configurations of things. There would also be very little movement, since enough of it could possibly alter an atom enough to form a new element.Or maybe, you mean to say that elements were never discovered and named. In that case, a lot of inventions and discoveries would probably not exist. In conclusion, it is very hard to imagine what the world would be like without elements. Of course, I am not an expert, so I cannot say for sure, but I doubt that the world could exist without elements. They are too basic and simple for the universe to function without them.
