You know that the thing the Gerrard did was the best. Being calm is the only way .But I m not like Gerrard and I am usually threatened by these situations . So I would try blabber before him and try to escape from the house Mark me as the brainloest as I said the truth

as Gerrard did , I think I will not do like that.... instead I must have feebly tried to call the police as in these situations that's the only right way to get rid of the intruder. but the way Gerrard did was the right way
