If I were a scientist, I would invent one thing and one thing only. I would invent a fast cloning device that could clone anything, and it would have the same everything as the first one. Say it was a person - once you cloned it, it would have the same personality, the same brain, and everything else. I would invent it so I could be at more than one place at a time, but still have the same characteristics as the normal me.
I could do many things if I made a cloning device. The first thing I would do is make another me so the clone could go to school while I did something else. Then the real me would go on a trip or a vacation. The next thing I would do is clone anything I liked or wanted. Say I went to the mall and I liked this shirt - I would ask what it was called and go home and look it up online. Then I would print out a picture of it and clone it. (Just in case you thought that if you clone a picture you will just get another picture - not true. There are different settings.)
So as you can see, a cloning device would be a very useful tool. You could basically do or clone anything you wanted. Now, of course they would sell for a big amount of money, but it would be worth it. So, scientists should get moving on one of these.
