In theory, pure copper does not react in copper sulfate solution.
However, commercially pure copper contains impurities and is represented by UNS numbers C10100 to C13000. The various grades of unalloyed copper differ in the amount of impurities and therefore would react differently with copper sulfate solution.
For example if zinc impurity is present, zinc displaces copper from copper sulphate & forms zinc sulphate solution.
