i)Lead nitrate crystals on strong heating decompose to form lead monoxide, nitrogen dioxide gas and oxygen gas.

ii) The copper sulphate crystals CuSO4. 5H2O contain 5 water molecules which are known as water of crystallization. When we heat the crystals, these water molecules are removed and the salt turns white. If we moisten the crystals again with water, the blue colour of the crystals reappear.

iii) When chlorine (Cl2) gas is passed through an aqueous solution of potassium iodide (KI), the products formed are solid iodine (I2) and potassium chloride (KCl). This is a displacement reaction in which the less reactive iodine in potassium iodide is displaced by the more reactive chlorine.
