◆ Observation -

When zinc is added to solution of iron sulphate, colour of the solution changes from green to colourless.

● Reaction -

When zinc is added to solution of iron sulphate, zinc displaces iron to form zinc sulphate and iron metal.

FeSO4 + Zn --> ZnSO4 + Fe

Here, zinc sulphate forms colorless solution and iron is deposited at the bottom as grey precipitate.
