What you mean by pulmonary veins?

Veins that do actually do the work that is opposite to its nature. That is normal  veins usually carry de-oxygenated blood but the specialty of these veins is that they carry oxygenated blood from the lungs to the heart. they drain the blood into the left atrium. Their are 4 pulmonary veins, two from each lung.

One of four vessels that carry aerated blood from the lungs to left atrium of the heart. The pulmonary veins are the only veins that carry bright-red oxygenated BLOOD.
